How do I determine which Revolabs Wireless Microphone that I need?
Start with your application, many of which are listed on the left navigation bar. If you are using a voice application on a personal computer or laptop, the Revolabs xTag Wireless Microphone is probably all you need. If you are audio- or video-conferencing, the table below lists some of the general guidelines. The correct Revolabs Wireless Microphone System will depend on how large the room is, if the system is permanently installed or not, and how many people need to use the microphone(s). Ask your reseller for advice on what Revolabs System to use or contact us.

What is the microphone audio bandwidth?
All Revolabs Wireless Microphones ( xTag and Solo) have a bandwidth range of 100-6,800 Hz, which is especially well-suited for speech reproduction.
Will the impending FCC changes affect Revolabs Wireless Microphones?
No, Revolabs Wireless Microphones operate in the 1.92 to 1.93 GHz range, which is far higher than the ranges that the FCC is concerned with (UHF/VHF).
Do the Revolabs Solo Wireless Microphones have security encryption?
How long does the rechargeable battery last?
Revolabs Wireless Microphone Systems incorporate the latest in lithium-polymer battery and power management technology. The microphones have 8 hours of talk time. A 45 minute recharge is sufficient to bring the units back to 80% of charge capacity.
Can I mix and match Revolabs Wireless Microphone Types?
The Revolabs Solo Wireless Microphones can be mixed and matched within the Solo Executive Single and Multi-Channel Systems with the exception of the Pre-Configured Mixer System. The Pre-Configured Solo Executive 4 or 8 Channel Mixer System can only accommodate Solo Wearable Wireless Microphones due to the echo cancellation requirement. Also, the xTag and the Solo Wireless Microphones are not interchangeable.
How many Revolabs Wireless Microphone Systems can I have in one room?
Because the Solo Single Channel Wireless Microphone and the xTag Wireless Microphones do not incorporate any channel management functionality, only three microphones can be used in a 10'x10' area.
Solo Executive 4 or 8 Channel Wireless Microphone Systems can be linked together for a total of 16 Solo Wireless Microphones in North America and 24 Wireless Microphones internationally. A synchronization cable must be connected between units.
Note that Solo Executive Basic Feature Set (BFS) Systems are not expandable, so may only use the 4 or 8 microphones as purchased.
Can I use a Single Channel System or xTag System within the same room as a Solo Executive Multi-Channel System?
No.
Do the Revolabs Wireless Microphones have two-way audio?
Yes, Revolabs Wireless Microphones do have two-way full duplex audio capability. Each microphone has an earpiece jack on the bottom of the unit (earpieces are supplied with Wearable microphones and XLR Adapters only, but may be purchased for other types if desired). The line level input port for each microphone channel can be fed any potential audio signal - far end conference audio, local voice reinforcement, language translation, music, speaker prompting, etc. However, the Basic Feature Set (BFS) versions of the products do not support two-way audio as a cost-reduction feature.

xTag FAQs
How big is the xTag?
0.9” x 0.8”x 2.6”, approximately the size of a lipstick tube
What is the operating frequency of the xTag?
Operates between 1.92 –1.93 GHz (DECT in UPCS band).
How do I mute the xTag?
You simply press the mute button on the microphone or on the xTag Charger Base. The LED on the Revolabs xTag Wireless Microphone will flash green, if on, and red, if muted.
What kind of battery does the xTag use?
xTag has an internal Lithium Polymer rechargeable battery. It is recharged in 2 hours for 8 hours of talk time, and can be recharged to 80% capacity in less than an hour.
Can I use a different earpiece if I need two-way audio?
Yes, any 2.5 mm, unbalanced earpiece will work with the xTag.
What if I forget and leave my xTag on my lapel when I go home?
The xTag has an out-of-range alarm to alert you that you are still wearing the microphone when you walk away from the xTag Charger Base.
Can the xTag be plugged into a Universal USB charger?
No.
Will my BlueTooth devices interfere with the xTag and vice versa?
No, the xTag will not interfere with or be interfered with Bluetooth devices because it operates in a different frequency band.
Can I have more than one xTag in a room?
Yes, you can have up to three, but you may have to reduce the power level and range between the various Microphones and their Charger Bases.
Will the xTag warn me if the battery is low?
Yes, the LED on the xTag will flash yellow and green (if on) or yellow and red (if muted)
Can I use it with my hearing aid?
Yes, we have many people using it with a hearing aid device.
Can I change the batteries?
No, you must return it to the manufacturer
Can I use the xTag for voice reinforcement (PA) through the computer?
No. This is not supported with the xTag. There are two issues with this. The first is that many audio sound cards drivers do not support monitoring of the microphone through the speakers. The second issue is the latency or delay that the sound has when it is processed through a PC. This delay between the microphone and speaker output makes it very difficult for the person speaking to maintain focus when their voice is coming back at them with significant delay.
The proper solution is to use the Revolabs Single Channel system that has both USB and analog outputs. This way you can route audio into the PC for conferencing and plug the analog output into a mixer or powered speaker system for local sound. We do however highly recommend you use a feedback suppressor in this application.

Solo Executive FAQs
How many Solo Wireless Microphones can be paired to the Charger Base of the Solo Single Channel System?
Only one Solo Wireless Microphone can be paired to the Charger Base at a time. However, if you want various people to have their own Wireless Microphones to use at different times, it is possible to pair a microphone to the Base Charger just before using it.
How do you stop the Revolabs Wireless Microphones from being removed from the conference room?
When a user goes out of range wearing a microphone, the microphone will start to beep to alert the user to return to the microphone to the room and/or Charger Base.
How does voice get back to the microphones?
The Solo Executive Rack Base Station has 8 output channels representing a separate channel for each microphone. Likewise, the base station has 8 input channels, one for each ear bud jack. Depending on the application, it is possible to feed a single mixed channel back to all ear buds or, alternatively, each user can receive a separate and unique channel. This would allow for translation or other services to be incorporated into an application.
Is the line output on the Solo Single Channel System base balanced?
The Solo Single Channel System analog audio output is unbalanced line level (about 0dBV, on a male RCA). The analog audio input is unbalanced line level (0dBV on female RCA). This feed goes to the earpiece connected to the microphone.
What are the power requirements on the Solo Single Channel System base?
110 - 240VAC, 50-60Hz to 5VDC, 300mA.
What is the latency of the Revolabs Executive Systems?
The latency of the system to digitize, compress and encrypt the audio signal is approximately 14ms (milliseconds) both from the microphone to the Base Station. It is, of course, the same from the Base Station to the earpiece.
How do I pair a Solo Wireless Microphone?
To pair a microphone, hold the muting button on the mic for 8 seconds (solid red LED) then release, then press the mute button on the charger for 8 seconds (solid red LED) then release, and the microphone is ready to be used.
Do I need an additional mixer for a second Executive Multi-Channel System in a room?
You need to have a mixer with enough line level input channels for each Solo Wireless Microphone in an installation. Eight for one system, sixteen for two systems, etc.
If you plan to use the microphone earpieces as an audio feed, you should also plan on providing a mixer output channel for each microphone.
Is it possible to have multiple xTag or Solo Single Channel Systems connected to a computer so that they can conference call?
No, the Windows Operating System only allows one USB audio connection at a time. This means that you can't use multiple systems on the same computer at the same time as a conference call system.
How should I configure multiple Executive Systems for the best results?
